CDI was formed in 2002 by the principals of
Spine Partners ~Wahroonga, a leading chiropractic practice on Sydney's North Shore with one of the highest rates of medical referral and specialist collaboration in Australia. Importantly, this was achieved whilst maintaining a strong professional identity as chiropractors. A passion quickly developed for the transformative power of education to enhance the positioning and contribution of chiropractors, which led them to create CDI.
What started with small intensive workshops to build skills in inter-professional communication has not only become one of the largest and most highly respected providers of evidence-based continuing education for chiropractors in Australia, but has also gone on to achieve international recognition. CDI’s innovative online learning technology has led to formal accreditation across many states of North America, along with a growing learner base in the UK, New Zealand, Europe and South East Asia. Not only has CDI delivered face-to-face learning programs across Australia and internationally, but CDI’s extensive library of online learning programs are now assisting chiropractic doctors to work towards achieving specialist level board certification (DIANM) in the United States. CDI also now provides an education pathway towards the internationally recognised DIANM credential for chiropractors in Australia and New Zealand.
The spectrum of chiropractors that have participated in CDI's training programs is diverse, both in terms of areas of specialisation and technique. At any given time our enrolment includes chiropractors at all stages of their career - from new graduates, to chiropractors with over 30 years of practice experience. Having trained thousands of chiropractors we have seen a common theme underlying the continuing educational needs of the modern chiropractor – advanced diagnostic skills resting upon a strong evidence-based clinical framework. In turn, this is combined with effective communication strategies to build their professional reputation.
